Your Questions, Answered

ARTWORK & CUSTOM ORDERS

  • Yes, I do. To get started, simply send me an email with your vision, preferred size, and any key details. I’ll come back to you with a quote and estimated timeline.
Custom pieces typically start from $1000, depending on size and level of detail.

A 30% non-refundable fee is required to secure your commission. The remaining balance is due before shipping.

  • Each piece is unique, but most custom paintings are completed within 4-8 weeks from the time I begin. For more detailed or complex pieces, i’ll provide a clear timeframe upfront.

  • Yes. I share progress updates throughout the process so we can ensure the piece is aligning with your vision. This collaborative approach helps create a final artwork you’ll truly love.

  • At this stage, all works are sold unframed, allowing you to choose a style that suits your space.

  • When you purchase an original artwork, you own the physical piece, however the artist retains the copyright, including the right to create reproductions such as prints. This is standard practice in the art world and is protected under Australian copyright law.

If you'd like exclusive rights to the artwork, meaning no reproductions will ever be made, this is available at a higher price point. Please get in touch to discuss exclusivity pricing before purchasing.

Fine art Prints

  • All prints are high-quality, archival giclée prints, created to last a lifetime with the proper care.

Please keep your print in its original packaging and hand it directly to your framer to minimise the risk of damage. We also recommend personally inspecting your print within 7 days of delivery to ensure it has arrived safely.

If you need to handle your print before framing, please do so with great care - touch only the edges and wear gloves whenever possible.

Rolled prints will naturally flatten over time when left resting on a flat surface, print-side up. To help flatten your print safely, place a protective sheet over it before gently weighing it down with light objects such as books. This will help prevent any accidental marks or damage.

Most importantly, please do not roll your print in the opposite direction from how it arrived. Doing so can cause permanent damage.

  • Choose Your Frame Carefully

Choosing the right frame is just as important as caring for the print itself. Avoid frames made from particle board, MDF, or any engineered wood products that use chemical adhesives. Over time, these materials can release chemicals that seep into the paper and cause discolouration or fading.

While ready-made frames from homewares stores can be a great and affordable option, it’s always worth checking the materials before purchasing. A beautiful frame won’t mean much if it damages your print over time.

    The Backing Board Matters

Backing boards are one of the most important parts of preserving your print properly. Always choose an acid-free backing board to match the archival, acid-free paper your print is created on.

MDF backing boards are extremely common, but they should be avoided wherever possible. They contain chemicals that can gradually affect the paper, leading to fading and deterioration over time. It may not seem noticeable at first, but years later the damage can become very clear.

    Frame With Glass

I highly recommend framing your print behind glass, with UV-protective glass being the best option whenever available. Even with UV protection, your print should always be displayed away from direct sunlight.

Giclée prints are delicate by nature, and glass provides an extra layer of protection against dust, moisture, fingerprints, and everyday wear. It also means you’ll never need to touch or clean the surface of the print itself.

For the best viewing experience, matte or anti-glare glass is ideal, especially in spaces where reflections or direct lighting may affect visibility.
